Let me start by saying, I'm not the type of person who likes to write reviews, but I had to!
I’ve been dealing with this office from the beginning, with a woman named Judy as my agent. Apparently, I was signed up for a life insurance policy alongside my auto insurance, and to this day, I don’t remember ever agreeing to a life insurance policy. Over time, my premiums kept going up, and I started making repeated calls to the office to figure out what was going on.
I spoke with Lindsay, in my understanding, is the owner. But instead of helping, she brushed me off, saying Judy was “busy” and that she couldn’t help me, I had to wait for Judy's call, and she said it in a very rude tone. I kept calling, texting, and following up just to get basic answers. Eventually, Judy told me the increases were due to the life insurance and also that I had lost my defensive driving discount. I immediately asked her to cancel the life policy. The conversation was tense and unpleasant, but she said she’d send me the cancellation form.
I completed the form and emailed it back along with proof that I had completed the defensive driving course. But the next month, I was charged again for the life insurance. Wanting to avoid another exhausting conversation, I went ahead and paid it, even though I absolutely shouldn't have had to.
Then the next month came, and I was still being charged for the same life insurance policy. Again, I called, again she was “too busy,” and again I was told to wait. Judy eventually texted me saying she couldn’t talk but could text, because she was busy. I asked her to call me when she had time. She called the next day and told me the life policy was still active and I’d need to fill out yet another cancellation form and resend the driving course certificate, even though I had already sent all of this.
I kept calling. I kept texting. I followed up over and over again because nothing was getting done. After weeks of back and forth, Judy finally said the cancellation was submitted and that I’d be refunded in full for all the life insurance charges I had paid. She told me a check was already on the way.
Weeks passed. Nothing came. I called. I texted. No response as usual, she was “busy.”
So I contacted State Farm directly, and that’s when I found out the cancellation had only been submitted the week before. After all that time, she hadn’t even submitted it when she said she did.
Weeks later, the refund check finally arrived, but it was for only one month, not the full refund she promised. I tried reaching her again, but surprise, she was busy.
At this point, I was done. I switched to a different office and will never deal with this one again. The entire experience was exhausting and stressful. I felt dismissed, ignored, and like I was a nuisance for simply trying to resolve their mistake.
I called. I texted. I followed up endlessly. And I was treated like a problem instead of a customer.
DO YOURSELF A FAVOR, don’t sign up with this office. It’s just not worth the frustration!
